This festival was the long-time dream of Dean "Dino" Gangale; a lover of movies in general, and an advocate for the independent filmmaker. Through the HuuuH?  podcast he got to share his love of films and help get the names of some great people out there. He wanted more though, especially for the community of Newberry. Unfortunately, while still in the brainstorming stage, Dino passed away suddenly. I am his wife, Michele. As I was talking with my son about how to handle the anniversary of his passing we felt there was no better way than to keep his dream alive. When we started our journey to bring this to life, we were simply amazed by the instant love and support we received that has brought us to this place. 

That was in 2021; here we are in 2025, and we continue to grow year after year. I know he would be so proud.
